This is an important event and a highlight in a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023).
The project has been invested in with a total estimated capital of nearly 475 billion VND, equivalent to 20.4 million USD, covering an area of over 3 hectares, with the goal of producing biomass pellets and wood chips. The factory has a designed capacity of producing 150,000 tonnes of biomass pellets per year; wood chips 150,000 tonnes of products per year; trading 350,000 tonnes of woodchip products per year.
According to Honna Hitoshi, President and General Director of Erex Joint Stock Company, the factory was built to ensure the source of biomass fuel before building a new biomass power plant in Yen Bai province.
This is the first project to be implemented among the 14 projects of Erex Joint Stock Company in Vietnam. The project will contribute to realizing Vietnam's policy of reducing net emissions, providing stable electricity, meeting the economic development needs of Yen Bai province in particular and Vietnam in general, contributing to creating jobs for local people.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan grants an investment registration certificate and flowers to Erex Joint Stock Company.
