Women in Khanh Hoa province say no to plastic

Many localities across Vietnam have begun actions to realize the goal of a plastic-free Vietnam, following Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc's encouragement. In Khanh Hoa province, local women started a big campaign by cleaning the coastal areas every morning.

Khanh Hoa Province Women's Union also held activities to raise public awareness and encourage plastic-free initiatives. Each local woman is encouraged to use one less plastic bag per day. Vietnam is currently the fourth largest producer of plastic waste in the world. 80% of plastic waste is discharged into the ocean.
