VTV.vn - The International Watercolour painting Exhibition opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 15, showcasing 74 paintings by Vietnamese and foreign artists.

Works on display include 30 paintings by 15 members the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, painted during a field trip to the northern province of Ha Giang which was held by the association last month.

The paintings featured the natural landscapes, people and daily lives of the local Ha Giang residents.

In addition, nine foreign artists from Myanmar, Turkey, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and Thailand also brought 10 paintings to the event.

The exhibition is held to highlight the beauty and diversity of watercolour material, while providing an opportunity for the participating artists to exchange experience with each other.

The event will run until May 26 at Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, 218A Pasteur Street, Ward 6, District 3.
