Water melon farmers incur losses
VTV.vn - Watermelon farmers in the Central region have entered peak harvest season. However, sluggish demands have led to losses for farmers.
In Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province alone, some 1500 tons of watermelon has been left on fields. Watermelon in the district is priced at only 4 US cents a kilo, but this still hasn't attracted any buyers. The number in Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province, meanwhile, is around 2000 tons./.
