Waste discharge fine increases

VTV.vn - Individuals who violate environmental regulations will be subject to a maximum fine of 44,000 USD, according to a new decree from the government.
Specifically, those violating regulations regarding waste water and dust discharge will have to pay from 13 USD to 44,000 USD, based on the level of damage.
Individuals discharging into sea water in natural reserves must pay 11,000 USD to 22,000 USD. The highest level of punishment will be given to those discharging hazardous waste and waste containing radioactive substances into the sea.
