The Vietnamese futsal team is in Group B with Australia, Myanmar and Timor Leste and will play its first match against Myanmar on April 4.
This is considered an easy group for Vietnam when Australia has disbanded the national futsal team and will only send one club to the tournament. Meanwhile, Myanmar or Timor Leste are not strong opponents in the region. The first place in Group B will be the goal of coach Pham Minh Giang and his players.
The Vietnamese futsal team will face Myanmar (April 4), Timor Leste (April 5) and Australia (April 6).
If the Vietnamese team competes successfully in the group stage, in the semifinals and the final, the players will only have one day rest between rounds.
In order to better prepare for this tournament, Vietnamese futsal players have been training since the end of February at the Thai Son Nam National Stadium. The Vietnamese Futsal team will have 3 friendly matches to complete the preparation before officially entering the tournament.
