VTV tested IP technology in program production

Currently, new technologies allow broadcasters to use IP network infrastructure for video transmission not only for program distribution but also production.

IP based Production has many advantages such as using less cables and equipment, as well as enabling remote production.

"With IP based Production, in the future, we can only use one control room for multiple studios, instead of every studio having one control room," said the Center for Television Informatics and Technology Center.

However, IP based Production also has limitations such as signal delay, packet loss...

At the seminar, the Center for Information Technology and Television conducted a demonstration of IP based Production.

According to the Center, IP based Production technology will be tested at the S8 studio of Vietnam Television.

The test aimed at assessing the impact of IP technology on production at Vietnam Television, assessing the possibility of applying IP-based production technology to live broadcast and researching the application of IP Studio model.
