VTV signs cultural and arts production agreement with CMG for 2026-2027

VTV.vn - Vietnam Television (VTV) and China Media Group (CMG) have signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in producing cultural and arts programs for the 2026-2027 period.

On the morning of April 15 in Beijing, China, Vietnam Television (VTV) and China Media Group (CMG) officially signed an agreement to enhance their cooperation  on  cultural and arts programming for 2026-2027.

This agreement is based on the principles set out in the Joint Statement between Vietnam and China on further deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. It also aims to expand media collaboration as the friendship between the two countries continues to grow.

Under the agreement, both  parties will strengthen comprehensive cooperation on programs that focus  on the   friendship  between Vietnam and China. Key areas include training exchanges,  professional experience sharing, and co-producing cultural and arts programs.

Notably, the agreement  includes  plans for VTV and CMG to enhance  their cooperation in  training, and joint production related to Lunar New Year Gala programs. This effort is expected to improve production capacity and raise the quality of programs serving audiences in both countries. The two  parties will also coordinate communication and promotional activities for these programs.

In addition, both parties intend to co-produce a large-scale cultural and arts program themed around Vietnam-China friendship. The program will celebrate the Vietnam-China Year of People-to-People Exchange and  the significant  anniversaries of both nations.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Director General of Vietnam Television, and Mr. Shen Haixiong, President and Editor-in-Chief of China Media Group.

The agreement takes effect on the date of signing and remains valid for  two years. It  provides  a framework for the development of specific projects  that contribute to cultural exchange, strengthen people-to-people connections, and deepen  media cooperation between Vietnam and China.
