VTV chief holds dialogue with network Youth Union Members

To celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union,   the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Television Youth Union  hosted the program “Party Secretary and General Director in Dialogue with Youth Union Members” on the afternoon of March 25. The event provided a  candid  and responsible forum   in which young   VTV members could   listen to  and engage in dialogue with VTV's leadership.

In attendance were Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union, and President of the Vietnam Students’ Association, as well as Mr. Bui Hoang Tung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union and Secretary of the Government Youth Union.

Those from  Vietnam Television included Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, and General Director; Mr. Do Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Permanent Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Viet Phuong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; along with leaders of affiliated departments, the Executive Committee of the VTV Youth Union, and nearly 200 youth members representing around 1,800 youth union members of VTV.

Over the years, the leadership of Vietnam Television has   guided VTV toward becoming a key national media network and  helped shape the country's media landscape. They have also paid special attention to supporting and encouraging youth movements, creating an ideal environment for young members to develop, contribute, and grow.

In recognition of their contributions, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has decided to award the “For the Young Generation” commemorative medal to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, and General Director of Vietnam Television; Mr. Do Thanh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Permanent Deputy General Director; and Mr. Do Duc Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television.

The Secretary of the VTV Youth Union expressed hope that through this program, each VTV youth member would gain greater confidence, motivation, and inspiration to take action. They will also  continue to nurture their aspirations to contribute and uphold a spirit of innovation by daring to think, act, and commit themselves to the common good.

During the dialogue, General Director Nguyen Thanh Lam affirmed that  the younger generation will succeed the previous one in leading the future of television. He  also expressed  his desire to pass on his vision, dedication, and experience to them.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Nhung, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Sports Department, poses a question to the General Director.

The General Director   encouraged young people to put forth  practical initiatives  fearlessly and to actively participate in developing VTV's regulations and policies. He also emphasized the importance of rejuvenating the workforce and attracting talent to thenetwork. He urged  each young member to leverage their position to become connectors, disseminators, and contributors to VTV.

The dialogue took place in an open and inspiring atmosphere, allowing VTV’s youth members to be heard, share their thoughts and   aspirations . This event is expected to motivate VTV’s young generation to continue cultivating their courage, taking initiative, and innovating, becoming key driving forces for VTV's sustainable development in the digital era.
