VTV-Binh Dien Women’s Volleyball Cup kicks off in Tay Ninh province

The 11th edition of the tournament sees the participation of three Vietnamese teams and five foreign teams, which are divided into two groups and compete in a round-robin format.

The two best-performing teams of each group will go through to the semi-final round.

Group A includes Thong tin Lien Viet PostBank, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Altay (Kazakhstan) and Yunnan (China) while Group B includes VietinBank, Fujian (China), Bangkok Glass (Thailand), and 4.25 Sports Club (the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea).

After the opening ceremony, two matches took place with VTV Binh Dien Long An thrashing Altay 25-19, 25-19, 25-16 and Yunnan beating Thong tin Lien Viet PostBank 28-26, 23-25, 26-24, 28-30, 15-10.

The tournament will last until April 30.
