Vinh Phuc province strengthens cooperation with Japan's Tochigi province
VTV.vn - The Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc's Provincial Party Committee received and held talks with the delegation of Tochigi province (Japan), led by the Governor of Tochigi prefecture Tomikazu Fukuda, on December 21.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan affirmed, that Vinh Phuc had well organised the implementation of the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding, on friendship cooperation between the two provinces, signed at the end of November 2021.

She hoped that in the coming time, the two provinces will put friendship cooperation activities into reality, striving to upgrade their relations with sister provinces by 2025.

The two provinces will maintain well-connected activities, exchange information, and strengthen cooperation in economy, culture, tourism, education-training, labour-employment, high-tech agriculture, and environmentally friendly high-tech industry.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested Fukuda Tomikazu pay attention and create favourable conditions for Vinh Phuc, to open a representative office in Tochigi province, supporting the promotion of the investment environment, and organising investment promotion programs in Japan, as well as training and professional development programmes for officials and employees of Vinh Phuc province.

She also wished to promote educational connection cooperation between universities and colleges of the two provinces and to support the technology transfer in farming, processing, preserving, distributing and consuming agricultural products.

Vinh Phuc province is ready to create conditions for Tochigi province to open a representative office and attract Japanese investors.

Talking to the leader of Vinh Phuc province, Fukuda Tomikazu said that Tochigi province has strengths in the fields of manufacturing, healthcare, tourism, and agriculture. Currently, the province has 20 enterprises investing in Vietnam.

In the coming time, the two provinces of Tochigi and Vinh Phuc will further promote exchange activities, and economic, cultural and tourism cooperation.

At the meeting, leaders of Vinh Phuc Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Industry, Labour and Tourism of Tochigi Province and Sumitomo Group - the owner of Thang Long Industrial Park in Vinh Phuc, all signed an Investment Promotion Cooperation Agreement.
