Vietstock — Vietnam’s premier international feed, livestock, aquaculture, and meat industry show — is scheduled to take place from October 11-13 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event will feature a total exhibition area of 11,000 square metres, with the participation of 350 enterprises from over 30 countries and territories, as well as the expected attendance of 11,000 visitors from around the world.
Speaking at a press conference on September 26, Director of the Department of Livestock Production Duong Tat Thang said animal husbandry is a key part of the steady growth in Vietnam’s agriculture in recent years.
He shared that the sector accounted for 27% of agriculture in the first six months of 2023.
However, Thang noted that the industry is facing many challenges in environmental protection, animal welfare and epidemic control, especially as Vietnam deepens its international integration.
He said that Vietstock 2023 is an opportunity for enterprises to strengthen cooperation and enhance product quality and distribution, as well as access new sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies.
First held in 2004, Vietstock has been playing its role as an important forum for Vietnam’s animal husbandry sector.
