VTV.vn - The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has decided to reduce the fees for cars entering airports, under its management starting from April 1 until December 31, 2022.

The service fees apply to vehicles parking at airports to pick up or drop off passengers.

At Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat and Da Nang Airports, for the first ten minutes, the fees are cut by 5,000 VND to 10,000 VND for cars up to nine seats and trucks under 1.5 tonnes; 15,000 VND for vehicles from 10 to 29 seats, including trucks up to 7 tonnes and 25,000 VND for vehicles with 30 seats and above, as well as trucks of more than 7 tonnes.

For cars parking more than 10 minutes, the fees will be charged according to current regulations registered with the local authorities.

For the 18 other airports, the fees are 5,000 VND for cars up to nine seats and trucks under 1.5 tonnes, for the first ten minutes and 5,000 VND for the next 50 minutes and 5,000 VND for each subsequent two hours.

Vehicles with more than 30 seats and trucks of more than 7 tonnes are charged 25,000 VND for the first ten minutes, 10,000 for the next 50 minutes and another 10,000 VND for each subsequent two hours.

The ACV also suggested preferential fees for vehicles frequently parking at airports to pick up and drop off passengers.

According to the ACV, revenues from charging the use of approach roads and car parks at airports can only cover the operation costs but are insufficient to invest in upgrading such infrastructure.
