Vietnam's agricultural value moves up the global value chain

VTV.vn - According to data published in October, 2019, by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in nine months of 2019, Vietnam's agricultural exports reached $ 30.2 billion, up 2.7% over the same period last year.

Vietnam's agricultural products are currently exported to 185 countries and territories and ranked 2nd in Southeast Asia and 15th in the world.

Some value chains of Vietnamese agricultural enterprises have participated in high value-added stages in global chains such as Vinacafe's coffee chain, or Binh Thuan dragon fruit chain.

Foreign enterprises such as Néscafe and Metro have sold agricultural products of Vietnamese origin to their overseas retail chains.
