An invention of a braking system for elevators by Nguyen Van Khanh, Nguyen Bao Long and Dang Vo Quang Huy (from Hanoi’s Trung Vuong High School) won the gold medal, the best innovation award from the organising board, and a special prize from the innovation association of Korean universities.
Another gold medal went to a smart camera system for early fire warning designed by Hoang Huyen Anh (from Hanoi’s Chu Van An High School), Le Thuy Linh (from Hanoi’s Amsterdam High School), and Nguyen Luong Bang (from Hanoi’s Trung Vuong High School).
An automatic directing system for solar water heaters by Nguyen Ha My (from Hanoi’s Chu Van An High School), Do Bao Nhi (from Hanoi’s Thang Long High School), and Nguyen Gia Thinh (from Hanoi’s Viet Duc High School) bagged the silver medal.
The IYIA was held by the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA) under the sponsorship of the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA).
It aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among youngsters and increase their awareness about intellectual property as well as exchange about transferring technology and promoting trade of science-technology products.
