Vietnamese steel under pressure from trade defence lawsuits
VTV.vn - Over the past month, Vietnam's steel industry has been faced with nearly 10 trade defense cases from 7 different markets.

According to the Vietnam Steel Association, the European Union (EU), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Thailand have all initiated safeguard measures on a number of steel products such as cold rolled steel, stainless steel, alloy, and non-alloy steel. In addition, Canada, Malaysia, the United States, and India have all initiated anti-dumping investigations for carbon steel welded pipes, non-alloyed steel pipes, corrosion-resistant steel, and stainless steel pipes of Vietnamese origin. In the first 8 months of 2018, ASEAN was Vietnam's largest importer of steel, followed by the United States and the EU.
