VTV.vn - Vietnamese photographers have won big at the 14th Orhan Holding International Photography Contest whose awards ceremony was held in Bursa, Turkey on December 1.

Funded by the Orhan Holding and co-sponsored by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and the Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey, this year’s contest drew 671 photographers from 71 nations with over 5,000 works.

Vietnam had 15 photographers participating, who won a total of 12 prizes. Photographer Dang Quang Vinh alone brought home five prizes, including the FIAP’s Best Author and the Orhan Holding special awards in the experimental category. Three other photos taken by him were also awarded in the monochrome category.

In the monochrome category, Luong Nguyen Thien Chuong, another Vietnamese photographer, won the gold prize.

Besides the prize-winning works, nine other works of Vietnamese photographers also made their way into the contest’s exhibition.

The prestigious Orhan Holding Photography Contest has been held annually since 1998. At first, the contest was reserved for Turkish photographers. Since 2004, it has been open to photographers from around the world.
