Vietnamese film wins international acclaim

Female director Nguyễn Phương Anh and producer Trần Thị Bích Ngọc managed to seal awards from the 2017 Asian Film Conference in Hong Kong.

Their production titled ' The Third Wife' won a prize from the Post-Production Fund and the 'Hong Kong Goes to Cannes' Award. This is a ticket for Vietnamese filmmakers to pitch their film projects at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The picture had previously won many other international awards. The movie tells the story of a third wife having to live in a wealthy family from centuries ago.
