The three-day event, which is jointly held by the Vietnam Water Sewerage Association and the Binh Duong Water - Environment Corporation Joint Stock Company (Biwase), attracted the participation of representatives from international organisations, associations and enterprises, working in the water industry from both at home and abroad.
Participants at the event can take part in a wide range of activities. Prominent among them are a series of international seminars focusing on pressing issues facing the water industry, such as the draft revised law on water resources, climate change adaption in the water sector, the application of science and technology, and human resource training in the sector.
The second meeting of the Southeast Asia Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN) will be held on the occasion, gathering seven water associations from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The event also features nearly 200 booths displaying materials, equipment, technologies and solutions in the water sector, by businesses from 15 countries worldwide, including Australia, Poland, Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the US.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Diep, Chairman of the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, Vietnam Water Industry Week 2023 is designed as an international and regional event for policymakers, donors, international organisations, businesses, and distributors, to exchange experiences and update advanced technologies in the water industry.
This is also an opportunity for the parties to discuss and share experiences in, corporate governance, smart technology, and the latest technology in the water industry.
