Vietnam to boost cooperation with Cambodia

President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Say Chhum arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday, beginning his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. 

The visit aims to step up co-operation between the two legislatures. The Senate President highly appreciated Vietnam's investment in economics, telecommunications, and banking in Cambodia. The two sides also agreed to increase co-operation, share viewpoints, and consult each other on international issues of shared concern. As part of his visit, he also met with Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to deepen co-operation between the two nations.
