Vietnam Television won four prizes at 15th National Press Awards
VTV.vn - This year, Vietnam Television has 4 winning works, including one prize A winner and three prize B winning works.

This year, the works address many burning topics such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which has an unprecedented impact on all aspects of socioeconomic life, the work of overcoming the consequences of floods and serious natural disasters in the central provinces ; the fight against corruption and waste and the handling of offending officials; good deeds and good people movement; the fight against bad and malicious information on social media; administrative reform, policies and life, economic management mechanisms, fostering the promotion of the private economy, the digital economy and clean agricultural production, smart urban construction and traditional topics such as history and culture.

In general, the winning works have reflected in a comprehensive and profound way the political, socioeconomic and defense situation of the country in 2020.

This year, Vietnam Television has 4 winning works, including one prize A winner and three prize B winning works:

- Large-scale deforestation in Kon Tum (author: Nguyen Thi Lien, Hoang Minh Duc) - News Department - Prize A.

- Cheeky group of cancer patient cheaters in front of K Hospital (author: Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chu Sy Luan) - Digital Content Production and Development Center - Prize B.

- Historical Flood in Central Vietnam (author: Ha Thu Hang, Nguyen Tuan Duong, Nguyen Tung Thu, Luu Hoang Tuan, Nguyen Lam Thanh) - News Department - Prize B.

- National Conciliation - Untold Story (author: Dao Thi Thanh Ha, Mai Vietnam, Vu Quoc Dung) - International Program Department - Prize B.

Regarding the prize A, Lien Lien said that "Large-scale deforestation in Kon Tum" is a work that makes her emotional.

"I went through a long period of work, I came across a completely different topic than what I imagined at home, even at one point I regretted it so much that I thought I would quit my job. The reason for that thought is because I believed that if I continue, the emotion It will influence me, "added Lien.

"In reality, deforestation is not a new issue. We often hear about it. But when I did the report on this topic, I thought I had to do something else and put my effort into the scene. If I just come and film stumps that have been felled, it wouldn't work. The criterion I set is to myself is to be different," the prize winner said.

Due to COVID-19 conditions, the award ceremony will be held on the occasion of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association in Hanoi.
