On the evening of June 21, the awards ceremony of the 20th National Press Awards 2026 was held at the Hoa Phuong Do Theater in the Hai Phong Convention and Performance Center. The event was attended by leaders of the Party and State, representatives of the media, and journalists from across the country.
As a key activity marking the 101st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026), this year's ceremony carried the theme “A Bright Mind to Serve - A Burning Flame to Lead”. The event honored outstanding journalistic works with strong social value, originality, broad impact, and meaningful contributions to public life.
This year, the National Press Awards Council selected and presented 123 prizes, including 11 A prizes, 26 B prizes, 50 C prizes, and 36 consolation prizes across 13 award categories. Vietnam Television proudly won six prizes, including two A prizes, two B prizes, and two C prizes.
The two A prizes went to the following works:
The Journey of Reunification by the author group Ngo Truong Son, Nguyen Duc De, Dang Ngoc Quy, Nguyen Huu Thanh, Nguyen Tuan Viet, Vu Duc Hanh, and Tran Huy Thanh from the VTV Regional Center for Southern Vietnam.
Alongside the Military Parade by the author group Tran Viet Hoang, Nguyen Truong Son, Nguyen Tien Tu, Hoang Tuan Anh, Nguyen Minh Dieu, Tran Binh An, Nguyen Doan Hiep, Pham Thi Chin Diu, Vo Bao Ngoc, and Hoang Trong Quan from the Digital Content Production and Development Center, Vietnam Television.
Politburo member; National Assembly Chairman of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Thanh Man, together with Politburo member; Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Trinh Van Quyet, present the A prize to reporter Ngo Truong Son, who accepts it on behalf of the author group behind The Journey of Reunification.

Vietnam Television also won two C prizes for:
Rising Above Floods by Bui Hai Binh, Luu Hoang Tuan, Nguyen Anh Thu, Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong, Mac Hoang Long, Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Manh Tu, and Lo Thi Lan Anh from the News Department, Vietnam Television.
Looking Back at 2025 by Nguyen Thi Le Quyen, Lam Thi Quynh Nhu, Nguyen Dac Hien, and Vu Trung Kien from the Digital Content Production and Development Center, Vietnam Television.
The results once again testify to Vietnam Television's efforts to renew its content and improve the quality of its journalistic works across multiple formats and platforms in the digital media environment.
Notably, this year's awards ceremony went beyond honoring outstanding authors and works. It was staged as an artistic journey retracing more than a century of Vietnam's revolutionary press. Through performances and dramatized reports, the program portrayed the development of Vietnamese journalism, from the earliest revolutionary newspapers to today's modern, multimedia, and multi-platform press in the age of digital transformation.
