Vietnam stands fourth in wood exports

Export turnover of wooden products reached 4.3 billion USD, increasing 7.8% compared to 2014. The US, China, Japan and the EU are major export markets for Vietnam’s wood industry. Vietnam’s wood export turnover is expected to hit more than 7 billion USD this year with growth rate approximating 8-10 percent. Meanwhile, the domestic wood market is also developing as many manufacturers shift from labour-intensive to newer forms of production. Producers are focusing on creating added-values in their products, increasing standards and bolstering management skills.
