The 2022 Vietnam-Singapore Young Leadership Dialogue Programme was held on April 29.
VTV.vn - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, and the National Youth Council Singapore jointly organised the 2022 Vietnam-Singapore Young Leadership Dialogue Programme.

With the theme "The role of young leaders in developing community in the post-COVID-19 new normal state and the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0)", the programme aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries by promoting understanding and solidarity between young leaders of Vietnam and Singapore.

At the same time, the programme helps to improve understanding and appreciation of national systems and policies, bilateral relations as well as regional concerns; promotes cultural exchange and exchange of experiences between the two countries' delegates; and provides an opportunity to promote in-depth dialogue between delegates and leaders from the public, social and private organisations.

The programme features the participation of 40 youth delegates and young leaders from Vietnam to Singapore.

Delegates focused on discussing the difficulties, challenges and opportunities of young people in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic; opportunities for young people from the Industry 4.0 associated with efforts to overcome the epidemic, continuing to effectively contribute to the development of the country and the region in the new normal period.

In addition, the delegates had the opportunity to listen to presentations from typical, influential young leaders and entrepreneurs on initiatives, contributions, and support to the community to overcome the COVID-19 epidemic; Opportunities and challenges of the Industry 4.0 for young people in Vietnam and Singapore.

Speaking at the programme, Secretary of the HCYUCC Nguyen Tuong Lam affirmed: Overcoming the unprecedented difficulties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, global youth including Vietnam and Singapore have demonstrated the spirit of creativity, pioneering, volunteering, integration and mutual support, contributing to preventing epidemics, restoring production and business, gradually returning socio-economic stability in each country.

Nguyen Tuong Lam expressed his belief that, through working sessions and multi-dimensional discussions between young leaders and young people at the programme, many new solutions and initiatives will be widely applied and deployed, contributing to the development of a healthy and prosperous community in the current context.
