At the training session, Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and Head of the Central Youth Union Central Committee's Inspection Commission, said that Vietnam sent a working delegation of 111 delegates to participate in the 2024 World Youth Festival in Sochi, Russia, from March 1 to 7.
With the theme of connecting young people around the world to build a common future, a multipolar, fair world based on cooperation and balance of interests, the 2024 World Youth Festival hopes to create an open space for young people to meet, share, and raise awareness about issues of concern to young people in the current situation.
Secretary Cuong affirmed that the Vietnamese Youth Delegation will participate in the 2024 World Youth Festival with the message of peace, integration, and development. Through this festival, Vietnam has an opportunity to promote the country's image, as well as its socio-economic development achievements after more than 45 years of national unification and more than 30 years of innovation.
He also emphasised that this is also an opportunity to introduce the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnam's youth organisations, and the role of youth and youth union organisations in the work of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
The 2024 World Youth Festival, hosted by Russia, is scheduled to take place from March 1 to 7, attracting more than 20,000 delegates from all over the world.
