Vietnam, Republic of Korea ties strengthened

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that Vietnam places high importance on fostering relations with South Korea and wants to increase mutual political trust and expand collaboration with the country at multilateral forums.

He also proposed RoK engage in the restructuring of Vietnamese state-owned  enterprises and the banking system, maintain the provision of non-refundable aid packages and official development assistance for Vietnam. The PM also called for a rapid resolution to the signing of the framework credit agreement for the 2016-2020 period.

Both sides agreed to augment links in industry, agriculture, science and technology, transport, culture, education, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
