VTV.vn - On Monday morning, at the Noi Bai Airport, the US handed over an X-ray machine worth USD 200,000 to the Vietnamese Customs.

This is part of the US Government's support for Vietnam via the Export Control and Border Security Program, which has been implemented since 2005. With this machine, the inspection of imports and exports through Noi Bai airport will not have to be unloaded or removed from their case, thereby creating favorable conditions for businesses. This modern device will easily detect items related to weapons with mass destruction such as biological weapons, nuclear equipment, and missiles. Customs authorities will be able to remotely detect any illegal transportation of hazardous materials, thereby preventing terrorist activities and smuggling. US Ambassador to Vietnam, Daniel Kritenbrink, affirmed that the United States will continue to support Vietnam with more modern types of equipment to ensure trade security in the region and in the world
