Vietnam ready for 31st SEA Games
VTV.vn - With just twenty days until the 31st SEA Games kick off, Vietnam is ready to host the events.

Plans have been put in place to maintain security, provide healthcare, conduct drug testing, carry out logistics, public services, and transport, train volunteers, and hold the opening and closing ceremonies. It has also published competition regulations, guidebooks, and competition schedules.

The board has received the registrations of nearly 7,900 delegates, coaches, and athletes from 11 Southeast Asian countries, as well as more than 2,500 domestic and foreign reporters. It has also invited nearly 1,300 international referees, supervisors, and technical officials to the Games.

The SEA Games will take place in Hanoi and 11 cities and provinces, where sports facilities have undergone maintenance and upgrades. Some parts of the preparation were funded by social resources instead of the state budget.

Smart bins to be installed for SEA Games

Hanoi is running maintenance on nearly 2,000 public bins around the city as part of preparations for the upcoming 31st SEA Games. This will ensure the environment is clean for the large number of visitors coming for the events.

The city will also replace more than 300 broken bins in its central districts with smart bins.

These bins have solar panels on top, which generate electricity and light up at night without the use of electricity. These maintenance tasks are expected to be completed in two weeks.
