Vietnam plans to export 5.7 million tonnes of rice

Rice exports in June are expected to reach 450,000 tonnes, bringing total rice exports in the first 6 months of the year to 2.7 million tonnes. Trade turnover of rice for the first 6 months is forecasted to reach 1.2 billion USD. The association believe prices will rise. Import demand from key markets such as China, the Philippines and Indonesia is stable.
