Of the new cases, 22 were imported and quarantined upon arrival.

Compared to the previous day, the number of daily cases increased nationally by 432. Ho Chi Minh City topped the list with 1,547 new infections, followed by Binh Duong with 688 and Tay Ninh with 564.
The capital city of Hanoi reported 260 new cases.

A further 4,776 recoveries were reported on the same day, taking the total number of patients given the all-clear to 910,276.
More than 108 million vaccine doses have been administered to date; almost 42 million people have now received two doses.
