Đoàn Văn Đô is one of the most experienced glass blowing artists. He is working on a new product that applies traditional glass-working techniques from Okinawa, Japan such as blowing, coloring and firing glass.
His workshop produces about 3000 products per day. But there are only 5 sophisticated products like Đô's vase. As these outstanding works require over 20 years of experience and support from Japanese experts.
Ryukyu glass making is the pride of Okinawa. Now that it's been introduced to Vietnam, coupled with the skilful hands of Vietnamese artisans, it has become a new part of Vietnamese culture and has contributed to the cultural exchange between the two nations.
