Vietnam, India enhance defence co-operation

At the meeting, General Thanh stressed that Vietnam - India strategic partnership has developed well over past years, saying that co-operation in defence has played an important role in this development. Notably, in May this year, Vietnam and India signed a Joint Vision Statement on defence co-operation for 2015-2020.

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha also spoke highly of Vietnam - India bilateral defence co-operation,  especially in terms of exchanging high-level visits, holding dialogues on defence strategy, training staff, information and technology support, and naval co-operation.
