VTV.vn - French President Francois Hollande was accompanied by Minister of State for Development and Francophonie Andre Vallini in his delegation to Vietnam.

Vallini attended a conference with the University of Science and Technology Hanoi on the escalation of Franco-Vietnamese co-operation in education and science yesterday. This was also an opportunity for the Vietnamese institution to reach an agreement with Airbus and French institutions on aviation training.

This is the first time France-based aviation giant Airbus signed a memorandum of understanding with the university. The document contains an agreement to collaborate on aerospace and aviation research and training. This represents a great chance for Vietnam to learn from France's experience.

Established in 2009, the University of Science and Technology is also known as the Vietnam-France University. Over 700 students at the institution are pursuing scientific disciplines such as aerospace, energy and environment. The university has set a target of welcoming another 3,000 Vietnamese students till 2020. France has also promised to invest 100 million euros into the university within the next 10 years.
