Vietnam Fire and Rescue Association makes debut

The association will promote an all-people movement for fire prevention and fighting as well as coordinate communication on incident and disaster response, search and rescue, and civil defence.

The VFRA is the first and only socio-professional organisation to be an official legal entity operating in the field of fire prevention, fighting and rescue on the national scale, under the state management of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Public Security and other relevant ministries and branches in the field of the activities of the association.

Chairman of the Association Nguyen Do Tung Cuong said that the Association will actively support state management agencies in disseminating knowledge and skills on fire prevention and fighting and rescue in order to promote the all-people movement for fire prevention and rescue.

The Association will also promote cooperation activities between related organisations in the country as well as strengthen international cooperation in the field of fire prevention and rescue, response to incidents, natural disasters, etc. search and rescue, and civil defence.
