Vietnam - EU trade growth up nearly 15%
VTV.vn - In the first eight months of 2022, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the EU reached US$42.4 billion, up nearly 15% over the same period last year.

This was the highlight of the Vietnam - EU Trade Forum, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union (EuroCham) on September 30th in Ho Chi Minh City.

Apart from key commodities achieving impressive growth rates, such as machinery and equipment, textiles, and footwear, among others, the export turnovers of many agricultural, forestry and fishery products such as coffee, seafood, vegetables, pepper, and rice are also increasing at very high rates.

According to experts, tariff reduction incentives under the EVFTA significantly contribute to helping Vietnam improve its competitiveness and expand its market share in the EU, and at the same time gain access to high-quality EU goods.
