VTV.vn - The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control held a meeting on Thursday afternoon that was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam.

In Vietnam, the risk of spreading COVID-19 throughout the community is still high, especially with more people arriving from foreign countries.

That's why it's necessary to implement a strong monitoring system, especially in border areas where people might try to enter illegally via open trails. The committee's members all agreed on the procedure on granting visas, preparing facilities for quarantining and monitoring the citizen's health after quarantine. This rule was strictly followed for cabin crew coming to Vietnam from foreign countries.

Foreign experts and workers will only be allowed to enter Vietnam by following the requests of provincial and municipal People's Committee. Visas will be granted if their quarantine areas have been arranged. All members have agreed to quarantine people entering Vietnam.

Besides the quarantine camps run by the military force, there are local quarantine points that are being managed by the police force.
