Vietnam celebrates National Day against human trafficking
VTV.vn - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended a ceremony that marked the fifth National Day Against Trafficking in Persons on Thursday morning in Nghe An province.

This is the 5th time that national day Against Trafficking in Persons has been organized. It aims to raise public awareness of the importance of human trafficking prevention and control.

In the first 6 months of 2020, the country detected 60 human trafficking cases involving 85 subjects, 90 victims who had been cheated, and a reduction of nearly 40% of the victims compared to the same period last year.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said that the ceremony celebrated the efforts of the Government to combat human trafficking globally.
