Vietnam, Cambodia boost border management

VTV.vn - Vietnam and Cambodia agreed on stepping up co-operation in border control at a high-ranking meeting held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on Tuesday.

Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet, commander of the Vietnam Border Guard, and General Sok Phal, director-general of the Cambodian Interior Ministry's Immigration Department, reviewed the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed at the equivalent meeting in 2014. They agreed that the implementation of joint activities has built trust, mutual understanding and solidarity among forces working at border areas. They pledged to increase co-operation and solve border issues on the principles of solidarity, friendship and respect for each other’s independence sovereignty and territorial integrity.
