Vietnam attracts 23 billions USD FDI in 8 months

VTV.vn - Total registered foreign direct investment (FDI) capital in the first 8 months of this year reached over 23 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of over 45%, according to the Foreign Investment Agency.

The amount was poured into 18 sectors. Among them, the manufacturing and processing sector attracted the most attention from foreign investors, accounting for more than half of the total registered FDI, followed by electricity producing and distributing, and mining. Japan and South Korea are the two biggest investors among the 98 countries and territories investing in the country.
