Vietnam and India to foster people-to-people exchanges
VTV.vn - Vietnam and India became strategic partners in 2007 and elevated their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2016.

A high-ranking Indian delegation led by Pallab Sengupta, Politburo member of the Communist Party of India and General Secretary of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) is now in Vietnam to attend the 10th Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival which opened on Monday.

On Monday Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hosted a reception for General Secretary of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation Pallab Sengupta.

At the meeting, the two sides spoke highly of the role of the people-to-people exchange and how it enhances the friendship between the two countries. They lauded the efforts made by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, the Vietnam-India Friendship Association, and the AIPSO for organizing the festival.
