Vietnam acknowledges UN support
VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Pratibha Mehta, UN Resident Co-ordinator, who came to say farewell before ending her term in Vietnam.

The PM said Vietnam acknowledges contributions of the international community, including the UN, to its socio-economic development.
He thanked the UN for supporting Vietnam over the past 40 years. Vietnam will fulfil its task as a member of the UN Economic and Social Council and continue to participate in other UN activities including peacekeeping operations, sharing lessons in development, and the UN reform. UN Resident Co-ordinator Mehta said the UN appreciated Vietnam's position in the UN, particularly in peace-keeping activities as a member of the UN Human Rights Council in 2014-2016 period. The UN will continue to accompany Vietnam to fulfil other goals in HIV prevention and sustainable development.
