VFF leader presents gifts in Dien Bien

During recent floods in Dien Bien province, 11 people died, 2 were left injured, nearly 500 houses were damaged and local people had been evacuated. Total damage was estimated at about 6.8 million USD. The VFF president handed over VND 500 million (US$22,000) to Dien Bien Province to build new houses and presented 10 scholarships to ethnic students of affected families but still achieved a good result at school. He asked the local authorities continue paying attention to residential planning to overcome the immediate situation and avoid flash floods in the future.
