US officials applaud Vietnamese PM's visit

Earlier, congresswoman Ann Wagner of Missouri and Congressman Joaquin Castro of Texas, both co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on ASEAN, welcome the visit.

The US reps expressed their confidence that the visit would enhance Vietnam and the US's relationship in the context of maintaining peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific Region.

US Senator John McCain also sent a letter to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, applauding his visit, stressing that growing relations with Vietnam is one of the US's priorities.
