Uber halts its autonomous vehicle test in the US

This announcement was the company's response after a 49-year old woman was struck and killed by one of its cars while crossing the street in Arizona. This is expected to put a stress on the future of automobile industry all around the world.

Right after the incident, Uber has announced to stop all testing of self-driving vehicles in Tempe, San Francisco, Pittsburgh in the US and Toronto, Canada. It has been stated that the National Transportation Safety Board opened an investigation into the crash.
