Tune in to the Special Arts Program ‘Forever Twenty’ Live on VTV1

VTV.vn - The special arts program “Forever Twenty”, commemorating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, will be broadcast live on VTV1 on the evening of July 24.

The programme will take place  on October 30th  Square in Ha Long Ward, Quang Ninh Province, to  mark  the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026). This meaningful political and cultural event pays tribute to fallen heroes, war invalids, sick veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs and others who have rendered distinguished service to the nation. It also aims to promote patriotism while inspiring younger generations to contribute to the country's development and national defence.

With an expected attendance of around 40,000 spectators, the program  recognizes Quang Ninh’s rich revolutionary heritage and its significant contributions to Vietnam’s struggles for national independence and development.

Under the theme “Forever Twenty”, the program  combines political storytelling and contemporary stagecraft . It is divided into three chapters: “Youth Dedicated to the Nation”, “A Journey of Memory and Gratitude”, and “Reunion and Aspirations for the Future”. Through music, performances and visual storytelling, it revisits  pivotal  moments in Vietnam’s history while paying tribute to soldiers, miner-soldiers, the Coal Corps, the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail, and the sons and daughters of Quang Ninh who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom.

A key segment of the program  will   highlight the Government’s 500-Day Campaign to accelerate the search  for, recovery of  and identification of the remains of fallen soldiers missing in action.

Renowned artists including Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Hong Nhung, Truong Quy Hai, Ho Quynh Huong, Duc Phuc, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Viet Thu, Duong Hoang Yen and Anh Tu, will perform with  a symphony orchestra, choir, professional performing arts troupes and hundreds of supporting performers.

With a large-scale outdoor stage equipped with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and LED screen systems, the program promises a solemn, emotionally powerful, and deeply meaningful artistic experience.

Quang Ninh was selected by the government to be one of five localities selected to host a major artistic event as part of the nationwide activities commemorating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. This  decision acknowledges the province’s historical contributions while encouraging younger generations to carry forward the nation's patriotic traditions.

The special arts program Forever Twenty is scheduled to be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on July 24 on VTV1.
