Trade surplus estimated at 3.52 bil USD

It is estimated that total export value in the past 10 months reached 144.08 billion US dollars, a 7.2% increase, and total import value reached about 140.56 billion, indicating a 2.1% increase. In the 1st 10 months of 2016, trade surplus is expected to be 3.52 billion US dollars. Phones and spare parts still lead at 28.3 billion US dollars, followed by textiles at 19.9 billion US dollars.

Export turnover of some processed and assembled products (with high percentage of FDI) surged compared to the same period last year. Export turnover of a number of agricultural products and raw materials such as rice and crude oil dropped compared to the same period last year.
