Trade co-operation with Hong Kong & Guangdong (China)

In the past few years, Guangdong Province has always been one of China's leading localities for economic and trade co-operation with Vietnam. In order to further facilitate business contacts and seek investment opportunities, the Vietnam-Guangdong and Hong Kong (China) Business Forum was held in Hanoi on Wednesday. The event attracted nearly 300 delegates including government and business leaders from 12 provinces and cities of Vietnam as well as Guangdong and Hong Kong.

Up to last December, 92 Guangdong firms had registered business in Vietnam. In 2016, two-way trade between Guangdong and Vietnam reached 17 billion USD, up 2.9% from 2015. With the potential for co-operation between the two sides, these figures are expected to continue increasing in the coming time.
