Tra fish prices remain stable

It’s predicted that Tra fish will face many difficulties entering the US after the US Department of Commerce announced its decision to apply an anti-dumping duty rate of 7.74 US dollars per kilogramme on Vietnam Tra fish, Prices of Tra fish in the Mekong Delta region however remain stable after the news.

In Cần Thơ Province, Tra fish prices ranged from 1.23 US dollars to 1.40 US dollars per kilogramme. The US is currently the second largest importer of Vietnamese Tra fish.

In 2017, Vietnamese exports of Tra fish to the US have experienced an 11% drop from 2016.
