Ton Duc Thang University has also been listed in the world’s top 100 best young universities in the QS Asia University Rankings (AUR). It has been placed 73rd in the Asia and 98th out of 790 universities worldwide less than 50 years old.
In addition, the university has entered the Academic Ranking for World Universities (ARWU)’s top 700, released by the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.
Established as a private school in 1997, Ton Duc Thang became a public school in 2008. Over the past 25 years, the university has gained significant achievements and established itself as a major education and training centre for science and technology.
Ton Duc Thang is a pioneer in successfully piloting autonomy for tertiary education institutions in Vietnam. The university has also made considerable investment in scientific research by launching the Journal of Information and Telecommunication and the Journal of Advanced Engineering and Computation.
It owns 15 patents recognised by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
