VTV.vn - More than 47,000 arrivals of visitors, from at home and abroad, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese Party and people, at his mausoleum in Hanoi on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

From February 2 to 10, the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard High Command welcomed and thoroughly served about 47,420 arrivals of people, including over 16,900 international arrivals.

Also, during the nine-day Tet, the Kim Lien relic site in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province – the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh – greeted 1,780 delegations and roughly 139,260 tourist arrivals who came to pay homage to the late President.

A tour guide is introducing visitors to artifacts on display at the relic site.

The number of visitors increased by 24,000 compared to the previous year, with many foreign delegations from Laos, Ireland, Israel, the United States, France, the Republic of Korea, Morocco, Denmark and Australia.

The relic management board coordinated closely with the locality and the public security force to ensure traffic safety, order and security, and optimal safety for the tourists.
